does anyone know how to put multiple part together in 3DSIMED turn in into one single object ? trying to figure that one out but theres nothing on google that show for this tool if you know hit me up here or on private thx !

I've been extracting some FM7 car models, and normally the .carbin file loads all the separate parts together. But in a previous post upthread, it seems dependent on the install path, and I'm yet to figure out how to get around that issue.

Without the .carbin file, any car model can be put together... eventually. It just has to be exported piece by piece, and it's a lot more time-consuming.

UPDATE: Here's the solution. The folder path has to be recreated as long as "media" is the root directory. Everything now works as normal. If the .carbin keeps importing as empty, delete the folder for the car that's being imported, recreate the car folder with the exact name as the original Forza ZIP file (eg "/lot_carlton_89/"), then use Forza Studio 4.1/4.6 to decompress it into that folder.

Try this:

  1. Close all instances of 3DSimED is open.
  2. Open "Registry search and delete 2.0.exe" ("R.S.D.") - can be downloaded from earlier forum posts or just Google it.
  3. Type in the search box "3DSIM", tick "HKCU" and "HKLM", untick "HKCR".
  4. Click "Search", wait until "Delete" button is being active.
  5. Tick on all entries which contains 3DSimED (don't tick entries for 3ds Max and any other apps)
  6. Click "Delete". After deleting, close R.S.D.
  7. Then Open TrashReg (via launching "TrashRegX64.cmd" as Administrator) - download from site database or Google it.
  8. Wait until scanning is being completed, then press Shift+Del on your keyboard. Close TrashReg.
  9. Launch 3DSimED. Trial will be resetted.

Tested by me on 3.1v version of 3DSimED and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 x64. All works great.

Help, it just stopped working the method, Idk if it's cause of Windows or what. But it was fine until this week...
