Hey guys,

 

First of: my name is Maxim, I am russian born in Moscow so you can reply in russian, I write in english as I live in Germany and don't have a russian keyboard :)

I am a modder for Test Drive Unlimited 1, and you guys helped me out a lot in model research! I am going to donate soon, that's for sure.

 

Back to topic, as far I read over the net, it is pretty clearly said, but maybe you know more about it. Is it somehow possible to rip MDCL:LA models? Sorry if this question was already asked or even anwsered here once, but I did not find a thread like this here yet.

 

Short: Is the web right? Is it NOT possible to get out MDCL:LA cars?

@TDUZoqqer, привет! Спасибо, рад что наш сайт оказался полезным :) К сожалению, на данный момент нет способов вытащить модели из MC:LA. Максимум, что смогли сделать, это распаковать сам образ и архивы игры. Я точно не помню подробностей, давненько было, но если интересует, поищи темы на Xentax, там есть вся информация. Вот этой программой можно распаковать архивы игры. Помимо MC она поддерживает RDR и Max Payne 3.

У меня вопрос не в тему - Это случайно не ты делал пару лет назад Wiessman, тюнинговую Panamera и многие другие для TDU?! А то чтото ник у тебя знакомый)P.S. DMN дельный совет про Xentax далХотя помнится я вроде встречал модели толи в XNALara толи в Garry's Mod. Сейчас и не вспомнить.

XexTool: Analyze/Research X360's executables (*.xex files) - https://yadi.sk/d/9tNpBY-uIXgmvg


P.S.: I want to get the map too, want to see it in GTA:SA :D


P.P.S.: I can upload a torrent file with *.iso+*.dvd files of MC:LA, if need. Just write here 'bout it.

I Extracted main iso and archive inside it but ended up with extensionless file inside of Vehicle folder

torrent-файл самой игры - вот, но не уверен, живой ли он.

а ссылки на программы и так рабочие, нет смысла заливать их на торрент.

All I could find out by examining the file.

Main struct:
4 bytes - RSC signature
4 bytes - Resource Version
4 bytes - Resource Flags
? bytes - Compressed Data

bytes was written in pattern 4-3-2-1 instead of windows-like 1-2-3-4

headers:
win header:  52 53 43 05
xbox header: 06 43 53 52 -> 52 53 43 06

win header ends with:  0x05
xbox header ends with: 0x06

versions:
00 00 00 13 -> 13 00 00 00 -> 19
00 00 00 3F -> 3F 00 00 00 -> 63
00 00 00 53 -> 53 00 00 00 -> 83
00 00 94 32 -> 32 94 00 00 -> 37938

Main data block is compressed using zlib with best compression (magic bytes 78 DA at start)

va_* - traffic (unplayable) cars

vp_* - playable cars

 

most of playable cars has resource with version 63.

zmodeler2 can't import them - import button is disabled (like as locked model, but I don't think so)

openiv also can't open or export him - exporting to openformats is absent, opening too.

 

zlib compressed data block (could be decompressed via GTA IV Resource Manager 0.5)
